Wikia or a painfully TLDR History for Kate at her canon point. Don't read it. Seriously that's 20 minutes of your life you'll never get back.

PERSONALITY QUESTIONS
What skills does your character bring to the situation?
Actual skills? Very few. What Kate has is a sincerity that's not often found in somebody so young. She's willing to do what she needs to do in order, not to survive, but to help those around her and ensure the survival of the group as a whole. She'll be the girl always willing to help with serving lunch at the Inn or assist other people in their duties. She wants to be of use to others and that will go a long way. Kate is also very family and community oriented.
Her greatest skill in a place like 6i is this ability she has to see the good in people, whether they deserve it or not. To find hope and build hope in the people around her, despite having every reason to give up. Her empathic nature will allow her to help others who may be more guarded emotionally. She'll play the role of peacekeeper, urging people to fix things when there's tension or turmoil. Kate has long been established as the glue that holds people together and I think that's something that will transfer into 6i.
Why did you choose this specific character for 6I, and how do you picture them fitting into the game?
Because she's such a contrast to the other two I already have in the game, for one. Kate is a nurturer by nature who is far more open to emotional connections with others. She has a softer side that neither of my other two possess. She could have CR with the same characters they do and yet because of who she is, it will be completely different in every way.
Ya know that and I enabled other people and Kate was the carrot I dangled. Just sayin.
How do you imagine your character will survive in 6I, and in what ways will they contribute to the settlement, if any?
While she may be a teenage girl with no real combat abilities, Kate's proven herself to be a survivor. It's her perseverance in the face of adversity that will help her get through the worst of times and while her religious faith may not be the same driving force than it was when she was 'simply' the daughter of a smalltown preacher, it's still at the core of who Kate is. As mentioned above, her contribution will be in the way she can unite people. Her knack for pushing people to be better versions of themselves and the fact that even on her worst day, she will drag herself out of bed and do what needs to be done because giving up simply isn't an option.
How will your character react to...Being separated, possibly permanently, from loved ones and their previous life, including loss of powers, if applicable?
At Kate's given canon point, she already has been (in most cases, permanently) separated from her loved ones. Her parents are dead, her brother is a Culebra who chose to kill a group of teenagers rather than try to make a life with the only family he has left in this world. Seth ditched her on the side of a road in Mexico while Richie went off with Santanico. 6i will actually offer Kate more stability than she's had in a long time. It's a chance for her to try and start again. It's Kate, and that means there will be a part of her that will always worry for Scott and even Richie and Seth but she won't be desperately trying to get back to a life that doesn't hold much hope for her.
Their environment being manipulated, possibly in strange or extraordinary ways, and possibly in ways which restrain them?
This is exactly what happened to her in the Temple under the Twister, and while it was alarming to Kate at first, she grew into herself in a very short period of time. She won't like it, but it won't break her either. She already knows she can survive much worse, which is exactly why she'll take whatever the 'Observers' throw her way.
Being physically and/or mentally manipulated, such as having hallucinations or suddenly possessing special abilities they did not have before?
Much like the above answer. This is nothing new to Kate. The special abilities would be something that would be shocking to her, but she's seen what the Culebra can do and so while it would be an adjustment, she's not exactly what you would call normal anymore. Not since Mexioco.
POWERS & SPECIAL ABILITIES
N/A. She's so painfully normal it hurts.
WRITING SAMPLES
SAMPLE 1
Why did you choose this sample? You get a sense of Kate's mentality at her canon point. How she reacts to learning things beyond it. How she interacts with her close canonmates and a good sense of how she responds to stressful situations.

SAMPLE 2
Why did you choose this sample? Both because you get a sense of how she interacts with Richie when Seth isn't around, but also a sense of how she is with others when she doesn't have the Gecko's there to be their generally overbearing selves.
